During the month of March, people who attend our Classic Movie Series will have an opportunity to win a
70th anniversary deluxe DVD set of “Gone with the Wind”. We will be screening movies on March 1, 15 & 29th. All movies have a connection to “Gone with the Wind“. “It Happened One Night” (3/1) stars Clark Gable. “A Streetcar Named Desire” (3/15) stars Vivien Leigh, and “Captains Courageous” (3/29) was directed by Victor Fleming, who helmed both Gone with the Wind & The Wizard of Oz! All movies begin at 6pm and admission is free.
Our friends at the Waterford Historical Museum & Cultural Center have just posted their latest newsletter, full of info on the latest doings at the Museum.
But please plan to join us this afternoon, for a showing of the Disney animated classic, “Alice in Wonderland”. Showtime is 2pm and admission is free. Snacks will be available.

From our colleagues at the Waterford Half-moon School comes word that there will be a Potluck Dinner for Waterford Seniors on Wednesday January 20th, from 5:00-7:30pm. In addition to a wide variety of entree, dessert and beverage choices, the High School Jazz Ensemble and High School Chorus will provide entertainment following the meal. All of this is being provided free of charge.
Classic movie night returns for 2010 with the first of two Alfred Hitchcock movies. On January 25th we will screen Notorious Classic Movie Night is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Showtime is 6pm.
