What are Your Hours?

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Is probably the most asked question we answer here at the library. Beginning July 1st, for the first time in decades the answer is going to be a little different!  On Tuesday July 1st, library hours will change slightly . We will be open on Monday & Thursdays from 9am-8pm, Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 9am-6pm, Fridays from 9am-5pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm. We close on Sundays during July & August. After Labor Day the weekend hours will become Saturdays from 9am-3pm and Sundays from 1-4pm. The weekday hours will remain the same. Ask for a bookmark with the new hours when you next visit the library, which we hope will be real soon!

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

You can now sign your child up for the summer reading program!

At sign-up each child will receive a goodie bag and a reading record to keep track of the books they will read this summer. Readers will get credit for each book and/or audio book they check out. If five or more are borrowed in a single visit, the child may choose a book to keep from the book cart.
Older children can also participate in the summer reading program by keeping track of the number of pages they have read.

Children who have read at least 15 books or 500 pages during the summer will receive a certificate and a special prize at the Summer Reading Finale on August 22nd.

There will be a ton of fun activities through out July and August, including a balloon animal class, magician, and a video game day.
