Winter Reading!

Don’t know what to do with your kids this winter? Why not join the Waterford Public Library Winter Reading Program! The program will run from Dec.22nd-Feb.28th. We will have regular events, as well as a “reading store” where kids can turn in page pennies for prizes. Winter Reading Program Signups will start Dec.15th.

Upcoming Events:

Dec.22nd @ 3:30 Soap Making/Gift Wrap Making- Still need a gift for a parent or sibling? Stop in and make them a decorative snowflake soap, as well as the wrapping paper to wrap it in. (limit 12 children ages 8 and up) Program will last about and hour and a half depending on time needed for soap to dry.

 

Dec.23rd @ 1 Horton Hears A Who! showing- Popcorn and Juice provided

 

Dec.30th @ 2 & 2:30 Jewelry Making- Mary will be joining us for a second time to show us how to make beaded bracelets. 2 groups of eight allowed. One group starts at 2 the other at 2:30

Holiday Schedule Info

The Waterford Library will be closed on Thursday the 27th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will reopen on Friday the 28th for normal business hours. Our weekend schedule will be as usual, Saturday 9am-3pm & Sunday 1-4pm.

Phone Service Outage

We are currently without phone service here at the library. We are open for business as usual otherwise. We apologize for any inconvienence and hope to be back to normal before too long.

UPDATE: Phone Service has been restored. Repairs to outside lines will take place today 11/26. These repairs may result in interruptions of phone service.

Veteran’s Info Available

In conjunction with an effort by the American Library Association to highlight the Post 9/11 GI Bill, the library has posted a link on our homepage. The link directs users to a wiki set up by ALA that provides information and other links pertinent to veterans. On a related note the library will be closed on Tuesday November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day.
