Due to scheduling conflicts the monthly meeting of the library Board of Trustees has been moved to Tuesday Feb. 3rd at 6pm. The meeting is open to the public. Subsequent meetings will take place on the second Tuesday of each month.

The library’s normal opening will be delayed until 12 Noon today, Thursday Jan. 29th, so that roads can be cleared completely. No materials will be overdue as a result.

Due to our latest winter storm which is forecast to worsen as the day progresses, the library will not open today the 28th. No library materials will be due today as a result. We expect to reopen for regular business hours tomorrow. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause our customers.

Looking for a free entertainment option? Join us this evening for a screening of the classic film, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, directed by Frank Capra and starring Jimmy Stewart. Showtime is 6pm and the Friends of the Library will be providing refreshments and holding a 50/50 raffle!

The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library invites people to witness history and view the inauguration of Barack Obama this morning on the big screen in their upstairs program room. No registration is required. The Waterford Library will have computers available for people to watch the proceedings as well. Information on the inaugural, including a listing of events and historical facts can be found here.

The library will close at 5pm this evening due to poor road conditions. We expect to open on time tomorrow, Thursday Jan. 8th at 9am.

The library is open for regular business at this writing. We will be monitoring the weather and if conditions continue to deteriorate we will possibly close early. Check the blog for all the latest information.

With the storm continuing and road conditions deteriorating, we anticipate delaying the opening of the library this morning. There is also the possibility of the library closing earlier than normal pending further updates from the Weather Bureau. No materials will be overdue for today of course, so please don’t drive unless necessary. We will post additional information here as it becomes available.

It is quite possible that the opening time for the library will be delayed tomorrow, Jan. 7th due to a snow and ice storm forecast for our area. We will post the most up to date information here as well as WGY and the Times Union.

It’s tax season again and the library is your go to place for forms and booklets. We have a LIMITED number of hard copy forms for both the IRS and New York State as well as some reproducible forms that can be photocopied. Additional information on free assistance with your tax return, particularly for seniors, will be available in a later post.
