Changes to Library Hours for New Years Holiday

The library will be closing at 5pm on New Years Eve, Thursday Dec. 31st. We will be closed all day on Jan. 1st, New Years Day. We will be open all weekend though for regular business hours.

Ladies & Gentlemen, We have a Winner!

Three actually. The winning tickets for our Holiday Basket Drawings were held last evening. The winners of the baskets were Liz Callahan of Waterford and Tom Connally of Troy. We also had a winner for the Candy Counting contest, which was open to children. The closest guess was turned in by Jeffrey Cramer of Cohoes! Congratulations to all our winners and thanks to all of you who checked out materials in hopes of winning!

Our final screening for 2009 stars Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullivan in a movie that inspired a remake called “You’ve Got Mail”.
Showtime is 6pm.

The Friends of the Waterford Library have been recognized by the Empire Friends Roundtable in the category of Friends groups of 300 or fewer members. In recognition of their accomplishments, they will receive a $100 grant and be featured in the upcoming Empire Friends Newsletter. Congratulations to our Friends Group, who despite being small in membership have succeeded in raising both funds and awareness for the library.
